Nigeria’s billionaire female oil boss Folorunsho Alakija has lost her position as the richest black woman on the planet as her greatest contender, American talk show host Oprah Winfrey retains position.
Alakija who has shared the postion with Winfrey was dropped to number 1561 in the latest Forbes release as Oprah Winfrey grabs the 887th position amongst the richest people in the world.
Alakija drops to $1.5B while Winfrey is presently worth $2.7B.
Worthy of note is the fact that Nigeria’s Cement and sugar merchant Alhaji Aliko Dangote remains the richest African at number 100 in the world with a worth of $14.2B!
