After months of rigorous training and singing, Olawale Ojo has been announced as the winner of this season’s MTN project fame. Olawale was up against 17 other contestants during the course of the show.
Olawale’s won the prize money and will walk home with the sum of N5 million, a brand new car and a recording contract. Immaculate was named first runner-up, winning a cash prize of N3m and a car while Margaret came 3rd but will walk home with
N2million. Omolayo and Roland came 4th and 5th and will take home N1million and N500,000 respectively.
Project Fame 6.0 kickstarted in July 2013. Olawale joins past winners Iyanya, iMyke, Chidinma, Monica and Ayo. We look forward to good music from him.

The turn out for ‘Sisters with Soul‘ concert where Mary J Blidge is expected to perform tonight is disappointing according to 36NG sources. The event is scheduled to kick off at 10:30pm but as at 11:05pm (Time when photos were taken), the event hall was almost empty with few people in attendance.

Shee arrived the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos this afternoon, September 27, 2013 and has been taken to the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island where she will be lodged during her stay here in Nigeria. The concert will hold at the Expo Hall.

Popular premium headphone maker, Beats has ended its partnership with Taiwan company HTC after securing minority investment from the Carlyle Group to help finance growth. Carlyle is paying $500 million, according to a person briefed on the matter, valuing the music company at more than $1 billion. It will also take two of six seats on Beats’ board.

BlackBerry has confirmed nearly $1 billion quarterly loss on Friday, days after accepting its largest shareholder’s tentative $4.7 billion bid to take it out of the public eye.
BlackBerry, which had warned of the results on September 20, said its net loss for the second quarter ended on August 31 was $965 million, or $1.84 a share, while revenue fell 45 per cent to $1.6 billion from a year earlier. The loss included a pretax noncash charge of about $934 million against inventory and supply commitments for its new Z10 phone.
The company, which is also planning to shed 4,500 jobs, or more than one-third of its workforce, as it shrinks to focus on corporate and government customers, said it would not host the typical post-results call for investors after signing a tentative $9-a-share agreement to be acquired by Fairfax Financial, its largest shareholder, on Monday.
BlackBerry said it sold 5.9 million mostly older-model phones in the quarter, but only recognized revenue from 3.7 million, given that many sales had already been booked. By contrast, Apple Inc said it had sold 9 million of its new iPhone 5c and 5s models in the three days after launch. Shares of BlackBerry edged up less than 1 per cent to $8 in trading before the market opened.
According to reports emanating from Kenya, BBA Star Game winner, Prezzo might have landed himself fresh trouble after allegedly assaulting a Swiss Policeman. Here is how Kenyan news site Standard Digital News is reporting the issue
Police say they want Prezzo aka Jackson Makini to report to Parklands Police Station for grilling after he allegedly assaulted a Swiss military officer in the head with gun butt and holster on Saturday morning.
The two are said to have been involved in an argument outside Aqua Bar over a parking slot at about 3am.
According to Gigiri Division police boss Vitalis Otieno, Prezzo had obstructed the military colonel from Switzerland which prompted the argument.“When the military officer came back ready to go, an argument broke out over the parking slot which degenerated to an assault using a gun. We want him to report at Parklands,” said Otieno.
The military officer is attached to Amisom and was headed to Ethiopia Saturday morning when the incident occurred. He was forced to cancel his flight. Otieno said he was treated and discharged from MP Shah Hospital.
And after the drama, Prezzo is said to have tried to cock and shoot at the officer who was bleeding at that time.
Otieno cited witnesses who said Prezzo was restrained by his bodyguards who dragged him to his car and drove off.
A hunt on him was on-going on Saturday morning even as police appealed to him to surrender.
Police visited his home but they did not find him.
It’s not clear if Prezzo is a licensed gun holder. We could not reach him for a comment over the allegations as his mobile phone was switched off.
