Just in time for the summer, Nigerian artiste, YCEE dropped what seems to be the biggest song so far, in Nigeria this year, JUICE featuring London based, Nigerian artist, MALEEK BERRY which was produced by ADEY. From fans using ‘Too much juice, too much sauce’ in their everyday dealings, to the song (audio and video) skyrocketing up the charts, and maintaining the number one spot for over 8 weeks on iTunes chart and also the number 1 most played song on radio in Nigeria.

JUICE is off his most anticipated debut EP, THE FIRST WAVE (TFW), which was released in April, after nearly a year of buzz and anticipation. The First Wave is an example of one of the biggest rappers in the country upholding the fans’ expectations by releasing a body of work that has diverse sounds, he likes to call ‘Wavy’; ranging from Rap to Afro Pop, R&B, Afrobeats and Trap.

The EP births songs like LINK UP featuring Reekado Banks, which was also high on charts, and widely accepted. The next single off the EP is a record titled DON’T NEED BAE, which was produced by Maleek Berry. YCEE goes solo on this track, and takes us on a journey where he appreciates the modern day Independent woman.

Lionel Messi Weds His Childhood Sweetheart Antonella In Lavish Ceremony (Photos)

 

Lionel Messi tied the knot yesterday with his childhood sweetheart, Antonella Roccuzzo at his hometown in Rosario Argentina. His teammates and former teammates Luis Suarez, Neymar,Gerard Pique,Xavi,Eto,Puyol,Dani Alves,Fabregas and others were among the 260 guests in attendance at the intimate ceremony.

However former bosses Pep Guardiola and most of the Argentina squad or legend Diego Maradona were obviously missing.

According to a report by Argentine newspaper La Nacion, Messi invited only four of his international team-mates – Sergio Aguero, Javier Mascherano, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Angel Di Maria.

The couple, who have known each other for about 25 years, banned mobile phones at the ceremony. Staff were also sworn to secrecy and 450 police officers were on hand for the big day.

The couple, who now live in Barcelona, have two sons together.

In a chat with Saturday Beats, he said:

“My post on Instagram about my wife having twins was a prophecy from Olowogbogboro. Nathaniel Bassey came online and he had the prophecy, so I just tapped into it.

If you look at my tweet, you would see what I wrote, I said I heard this news where he gave a big testimony, he gathered people around to pray for my wife and he said that he had a vision that she would have twins and that he will be invited to the naming ceremony next year. “Why I’m Defending Evans, The Kidnapper” — Lagos Lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje

 

Lagos lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje, has justified his decision to defend suspected billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, a.k.a. Evans, in court.

Ogungbeje has come under public criticisms for accepting the brief to seek freedom for Evans from police detention, or have him charged to court, weeks after his arrest. Nigerians had taken to the media to condemn the move, saying, the notorious criminal suspect who confessed to denying his victims their freedom did not deserve mercy considering the atrocities he reportedly committed with his gang members.

But, speaking with Saturday Sun yesterday, Ogungbeje, accused a section of the media, as well as many Nigerians of being ignorant of the law.

Citing a judgment delivered by Lord Denning, regarded as the most famous and influential judicial figure of the last century, he noted that it was settled in law that “no matter the bases of the complaints of the cause of your crime, no matter how unpopular is the cause of your crime, no matter how bad is the cause of your crime, the legal practitioner has a duty to take up the cause, if he’s properly briefed and provided that person represents his client within the bounds of law.”

He added: “That is my answer to your question. So, no matter the public opinion, I have the responsibility to take up the matter. We were properly briefed. So, our action is based on law. And we want to represent our client within the bounds of law, within the confines of law. So, if you for instance, you’re a journalist, if you brief me… you don’t want me to take up your cause, because people are saying negative things about you, or because people have condemned you and found you guilty before the media, that I should not take up your case?

“Look, let me tell you right away. We were briefed two weeks ago. And I told them to give me two weeks to think, whether I would take up the brief or not. I did my consultations. We consulted even journalists, you can go and make enquiries. I consulted my people. I consulted senior lawyers. So, have I done what is wrong by taking the cause of my clients? Forget what people say in the court of public of opinion.
