EBOLA: Man Tested in UK

A man in the United Kingdom went into an hostpital for a test on Ebola while another has been tested already after they both claimed they are showing symptoms of the deadly virus.

A man, who had travelled from Benin in Nigeria via Paris to the Midlands was taken to hospital in Birmingham on Monday after he said he felt feverish.

He was given the all clear, as was a second man in his twenties who went to Charing Cross Hospital in London this week, the Sun reported. His symptoms were confirmed as not being linked to the bug and doctors ruled out the need for an Ebola test.

The Department for Health confirmed the Birmingham incident. A spokesman added: “We’re well prepared to identifyand deal with any potential cases, though there has never been a case in this country.

President Jonathan Reacts to Alleged N100Million Cash Gift to Chibok Girls Parents

New hit the internet that the parents of the school girls abducted in the Chibok area of Borno, as well as leaders of the community got a cash gift of N100 million from President Jonathan after their visit to the Villa.

Reuben Abati, the Special Adviser to the Nigerian President on Media and Publicity said that the allegation is completely untrue despite parents of the girls admitting to BBC that they received money.

“The meeting was held in the villa, a public place. After the meeting, the President left and the parents as well as the children went into their buses in the presence of the media.

There was no time after the meeting when envelopes were distributed or money was given.

This issue is not about money. We are talking about human lives here.

The allegation is completely wild. What they are claiming is unknown to the President. Whoever is claiming it should prove it because no such thing happened.

This is a very serious matter and we will like to appeal to those who want to play politics with it, using all kinds of tricks to ridicule the efforts of the administration, to always appeal to their individual conscience and realize that what we are dealing with here is a very serious matter and not a matter of mischief.” he said.
