Nigerian Minister Undergoes Knee Surgery in US, Returns to Taraba

Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Jummai Alhassan, returned to Taraba state today July 30th after a successful knee surgery in the US.

She was welcomed by some of her delegates and security detail to usher her home from the airport.

Mrs. Alhassan is on medical leave and is expected to return to work after full recovery

IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu Sponsors Foorball Competition Inside Kuje Prisons (Photos)

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) group, Nnamdi Kanu sponsored the 2016 Kuje Prison championship competition which kicked off today.

The competition is to foster peace and co-existence among the inmates and the prison officers.

 

The ex-president of the Association Sivan Emeka thanked Kanu for his concern towards the inmates, saying the competition was an opportunity for some prisoners to discover their talents and looks more beyond the four-walls of Kuje prison.
