Alibaba Shares his Opinion About Nigerians that seek for greener pastures Abroad

Majorly, Nigerians exit the country to seek for greener pastures abroad and Ace comedian, Ali Baba in a lengthy post on his IG page expantiated the reason why Nigerians travel to the abroad in search of greener pastures.

Read what he wrote below:

Why did they leave? Dont answer. I will help you. They left because Osahon who made it abroad, in less that 2 years, has gotten a job (albeit illegal) that allows him live well, while arranging his permanent stay. If he who does not have formal education, has become a nurse in 3yrs and he is earning more than a banker. Uche don marry one foreign passport. Bola who was a hair dresser here, now works in a hairsaloon and sends money home. Not to mention Monday, an ordinary boy at a car wash in Lugbe, Abuja, who made it across and now works at the back of a restaurant and lives better than he used to here in Nigeria. Much as we should discourage these Nigerians from travelling, if we want to be honest with ourselves, the lure is too tempting. Don’t forget that those who traveled will lie through their teeth to I justify why they left. Then you have the matter of prostitution and organised crime. The people who survive on these illicit businesses, will continue to require fresh hands. The 16 year old girl that was fetching the idiot 50 euros every other night, from wear and tear, may not provide the same amount of cash haul after a year. So, they will need new call girls. People are shouting slavery! Slavery!!. Is this new? Nooop. ONCE YOU FAIL TO EMPOWER YOUR POPULACE, THEY ARE BOUND TO USE THAT STATE OF IGNORANCE AND LACK OF EMPOWERMENT to survive anyhow they can. Illegal or otherwise. Ok so we bring them back from Libya. So What? We will manufacture jobs before the chartered flight lands? Or would we have done anything to engage those who had not made the trip just still could? What do I know Sef? Shebi I am just a comedian?

I Did Not Welcome A Baby And I Am Not Adesua’s Ex- Kunle Remi

There’s been reports that claimed actor, Kunle Remi was in a relationship with Adesua Etomi who is now Mrs Wellintgon, it was said that he lost out on her to Banky W. He also debunked welcoming a child recently.

In a post shared on his Instagram page early this morning, Kunle wondered where himself or Adesua ever confirmed to anyone that they were an item or where he said he welcomed a baby.

According to him, they only acted as a couple in a movie they starred in. Read what he wrote below….

“MY NAME IS KUNLE REMI and Not ADESUA’s Ex.

Silence,they say is Golden.

I have been silent, but some people have taken this as an invitation to take the piss!! I have chosen my words and thought this action through, so read carefully, yes, pay attention I will only say this once.

I am not a bitter person neither am I a sadist.

‘If’ you know me, (if you don’t, ask about me from those that do) you would know I am a very positive and I radiate good vibes only, I am not here for any form of negativity whatsoever.

My name has been used inappropriately, and it is time I set the record straight.

I intentionally waited till after the festive of the beautiful wedding ceremony had come to a natural halt out of respect for the couple.

I have not till this present day said to any blogger, or mentioned on any social media platform, or granted any interview admitting or confirming that I was ever in a relationship with the former Miss Adesua Etomi who as well all know tied the knot over the past weekend, neither do I recall her doing the same.

Yet some jobless people cooked up stories and sold it to other jobless people and then jobless readers and commentators believed it and hence the rumors started circulating with no proof other than pictures of us on a Movie set titled (FALLING. A great film by the way, It’s on Netflix if you haven’t seen it.). Contrary to the opinion of people who feel theirs matters, I don’t have to congratulate the beautiful couple publicly to prove anything. Some of us would rather do our things privately. You CAN’T believe all you see on social media (some people will still not understand).

Take for example ; Recently I posted a picture of my Beautiful Nephew on my Instagram and as expected, rumors started again without any confirmation that I have a baby. (Quote me) I never confirmed to anyone that he is My Son. So there you go!!. Not all you see or read on social media is the gospel truth.

Having said that this is my advice to those this may concern; Just for your sanity try to be sure about the rumors and gist before you tongue lash people or judge people.

Sometimes Not every one is strong enough to handle it.

If you don’t know anything or if you are not sure, you don’t have to comment or curse people just SHUT UP. “If You don’t talk (in cases like this) you won’t die”.

BE SURE BEFORE YOU JUDGE ANYONE, OR BETTER STILL DON’T. THAT’S WHY GOD SAYS HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN JUDGE US ALL.

Don’t Curse yourself.

Thank you for reading.

PS : Next Time you want to talk about me or refer to me. My Name is KUNLE REMI, the charming, charismatic , God Fearing, hardworking , Gentlemen but you can just call me THE ACTOR!! Signed

MANAGEMENT”

Slave Markets: “It is a slap on the face of all of us” – Senate

The Senate on Wednesday urged the Federal Government to summon the Libyan ambassador to Nigeria over the slave auctions of Nigerians in Libya.

The upper chamber also condemned the act exhibited by the Libyans selling fellow Africans as slaves, describing it as depraved and animalistic.

This was sequel to a motion on “Urgent need to Protect Nigerian Citizens from the Libya Slavery Auctions“, sponsored by Baba Garbai (APC-Borno) during the plenary.

He called for the repatriation and rehabilitation of Nigerian citizens caught up in the despicable treatment and human right abuses.

These are our people who are just trying to flee from poverty and deprivation,” he said.
Garbai said the slave trade was not just a humiliation of Nigerians and Africans, but also to human civilisation and the fundamental principles of human rights under the United Nations Charter.

“Not long ago, about 4,000 Nigerians were intercepted when they were about to enter the Mediterranean Sea and deported from Libya.

“The Libyan immigration authority informed the CNN that of an estimated 25,000, 4000 are from Nigeria and are being held at various detention centres in the country.”

Garbai expressed worry that the Libyan Government did not seem to have the means or commitment to crack down on the perpetrators of slave aution.

He noted that the smuggling networks were killing, and torturing, extorting and detaining migrants at will.

The Senator also expressed concern that Nigeria would be failing in its duty if it sat idle and watched any of its citizens being put into slavery.

Contributing to the debate, Ali Wakili (APC-Bauchi), said the root causes of illegal migration among Nigerians, such as poverty and unemployment, must be addressed.

Similarly, Dino Melaye (APC-Kogi), condemned the continuous dehumanisation of Nigerians in Libya.

“Nigeria must take the life of every Nigerian not only seriously but also to defend Nigerians anywhere in the world,” he said.

Also, Chairperson, Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Monsurat Sunmonu said, “We are working with the executive on the case. It is ongoing; we believe that within one to two weeks, we will make our findings,” she said.

In his remarks, the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki described the situation as “deplorable”.

“It is a slap on the face of all of us if Nigerians can be treated in that manner. We need to bring our citizens back,” Saraki said.

Shocking Video Shows Pastor Adeboye Asking His Members To Donate ₦1Billion, Freeze Reacts

“Men are to blame for Nigeria’s woes” – Oby Ezekwesili

Former Vice-President of the World Bank and former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has said that male political leaders are to blame for the poor state of affairs in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
She also absolved women of any blame, saying they have had only a “marginal” role to play in the poor governance that has bedeviled the continent.

She stressed the need to have more women at all levels of government and good representation at all arms of government — executive, legislature and judiciary.

Ezekwesili, who was the keynote speaker at the maiden edition of the HID Awolowo Foundation annual lecture in Lagos on Tuesday, said research had shown that in Africa, only five per cent of women are chief executive officers, only 22 per cent of women are cabinet members, 25 per cent are parliamentarians, 29 per cent are managers, while a mere 36 per cent get promotion.

In the lecture, themed ‘Ethical, politics, peace, development and security in Nigeria: The critical importance of women’s leadership,’ Ezekwesili said it was time Nigerian women disrupted the political process that had acted as a barrier for them to enter into the political space, noting that the barrier ranges from cultural, economic, social, religious to self-imposed barriers.

She said,

“For as long as the women are held down, the trend analysis does not show any reversal of outcome. Nobody does any favour to Nigerian women by involving them in governance.

“Women are incredible human resource that we must put to use, and what this says to us is that we need to be more intentional and deliberate.
“Research shows that when many more women are at decision-making level, there is less corruption and a wise society would know that empowering its women is smart economics.

“The only way to honour the memory of Yeye Oodua is to take it to that next level; disrupt this model, which is no longer sustainable.”

Aladja and my community, Ogbe Ijaw have been killing themselves for years and OKOWA is rather playing a businessman than a father and a leader he is meant to be.
