I thought to share this lovely piece i found online as how to make one’s perfumes last longer. Thanks to Ayo Adeyemi of ThisDayStyle.
We have all heard that the proper way to wear perfume is to spray it in the air and walk right into it. I did this for a while after watching P diddy give it some credibility, but stopped because I felt it was a waste of my well spent money. So here I did a little research and here is my find.
First it is key to know what kinds of strength you are getting. The least powerful are Eau de Cologne, which lasts fo about one hour before giving up. Closing followed by Eau de Toilettes at two hours, then we have Eau de Parfum at four hours and finally the Perfumes which last up to six hours and more depending on the strength. That cleared here are the tips you need to follow
It is best to spray perfume on moist skin, therefore spray just after a shower. If you are not showering make sure to moisturize with a non-scenting lotion then spray on desired area. This way it lasts longer, Vaseline works wonders here.
Pulse points (wrists, between breasts, and behind knees) are good but do not spray on your wrist because you wear your wristwatch and your bracelets there, which can affect your perfume particles. if you are without wristwatches and bracelets, please avoid rubbing your wrists together, that breaks down the particles also.
Spray perfume on tested clothing i.e. meaning you had tested a small hidden area and realized that it didn’t affect the colour or fabric. If it is crafty piece of clothing you can spray on an handkerchief and keep on you.
If you can layer scents, it would be the most perfect way to build on the scents. By layering I mean you get a whole set which involves a washing gel or soap, follow up with the lotion of the same fragrance, then the perfume.
Don’t overspray in the bid to have more perfume on you, simply reapply a few hours later depending on the strength of you perfume.
