Rahmat Islammiya Association of Nigeria, yesterday during a press conference in Lagos, asked Nigerians to stop calling Boko Haram an Islamic sect or associating them with Islam. According to the National chairman of the group, Dr. Awelenjo Abdullahi, the terrorists’ ideals are not consistent with Islamic teachings and Islam believes very much in education.
He also said the claim by Boko Haram that education is a sin is not true and urged Nigerians to stop calling the sect an Islamic sect, as it is a well-known group for evil.
