UniAbuja Lecturers Commence Indefinite Strike Over Issues With Vice-Chancellor

UniAbuja

Lecturers of the University of Abuja today have begun an indefinite strike over what they termed misappropriation of funds and abuse of power by the Vice-Chancellor of the university.

According to one of the Lecturers, Ben Ugheoke, funds allocated to the institution were being misappropriated and the Vice-Chancellor, James Adelabu, was misusing power. He alleged that the vice-chancellor deliberately refused to pay their teaching, marking, supervision and professional allowances dating back to 2010.

He explained to journalists today, that the strike will continue till their appropriate dues are paid and when things get back to shape in the University.
