Some APC leaders in Kogi State, have selected late Prince Abubakar Audu’s son, Mohammed as the new governorship candidate of the party following the death of his father who was the orginal flagbearer of the party.

“Leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC), in Kogi East Senatorial District have nominated Mr Mohammed, 43, first son of Late Prince Abubakar Audu, to replace him as the party’s governorship candidate. The leaders, stakeholders and delegates who made this known in Lokoja on Thursday after a marathon meeting, said they arrived at the decision after due consultations.”
Mr Daniel Isah, the Vice Chairman of APC in Kogi East, who is their spokesman said, they have met and decided to back Mohammed come rain come shine, if the National Working Committee orders fresh primaries.
Mr Dani Isha showed appreciation to the Independent National Electoral Commission and the national leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the opportunity offered to them to select Abubakar Audu’s replacement on the back of his death on 23rd November, at Ogbonicha, Ofu Local Government.
He also charged the national leadership of APC to review, consider and accept their decision in the interest of the party and Kogi state.
Alhaji Lincho Ocheje, Hon. Hassan Omale, Hon. Benjamin Ikhani, and Sen. Emmanuel Dangana, were among those present at the meeting.
