Runtown who is one of Nigeria’s biggest acts right now, seems to be having serious issues with his record label, Eric Manny records, the trouble is serious to the extent he might have to leave the label.
Okwudili Umenyiora owned-Eric-Manny has a court injunction stopping Runtown from performing as an artist, amongst other things, pending when they settle their issues.
The singer, got his lawyers to write to the Eric Manny records, claiming threat to life, extortion, and that he didn’t get his allocated and appropriate payment/royalties from performances, ring-back tunes and so on.
He also said he has returned all the properties the label gave him when he signed with them back in 2014.
