Wizkid, Yemi Alade Snubbed Again as Black Coffee Wins BET Best African Act Award

Black Entertainment Television BET overlooked Yemi Alade and Wizkid for the second year running to pick a winner for their “Best International Act: Africa award” for 2016.

BET announced on Saturday, June 25th that South African artiste, Black Coffee is their pick for the year.

Wizkid and Yemi Alade were nominated in 2015 too but BET chose Stonebwoy.

Speaking on his big win, Black Coffee wrote on social media “Thank you Africa πŸ™πŸΏπŸ™πŸΏπŸ™πŸΏπŸ™πŸΏπŸ™πŸΏ #thisoneisformypeople

Black Coffee is the first South African to win the award. He beat his compatriots AKA and Cassper Nyovest to the big award.
