After we weighed in on Wizkid and Banky W several months back (click here if you missed it) , we dip into the collaborations Olamide and his protege Lil Kesh has had or featured in and as always we dish out our opinion on who had the better/doper verse on each song while asking you for your thoughts on each.

Olamide & Phyno – Ladi ft. Lil Kesh

Olamide and Phyno featured Lil Kesh on the stand out track off their joint album 2 Kings on Ladi and it has to be said that the youngster murdered the two rap heavyweights on the record. Lil Kesh had the edge over Olamide on this record for us and his effort is also the fan favorite verse on the song.

Winner: Lil Kesh

YBNL – Shoro Niyen

Olamide, Lil Kesh and the rest of the YBNL crew linked up for Shoro Niyen with Olamide taking the hook and chorus. Unlike most of Olamide’s verses, the rapper appeared cool and calm on Shoro Niyen. Lil Kesh didn’t have much to say on this song and Olamide knocked the song.

Winner: Olamide

YBNL – Our Lord Jesus

Another label joint work. YBNL sampled Agnes Iro’s iconic song Follow The Ladder To Heaven and it featured Olamide and Lil Kesh. It is hard to declare who had the doper verse between Olamide and Lil Kesh on this one but Olamide’s chorus gave him the edge.

Winner: Olamide

Lil Kesh – Shoki (Remix) ft. Olamide, Davido

Lil Kesh came to fame thanks to this record but many will argue he was the least impressive on the song. While that may be true, it is worth noting he took the chorus which is the reason the song blew up (maybe not).

Kesh’s verse is definitely not the best on this song but his hook leveraged that. Olamide on the other hand brought more energy to the song as he took the last verse. This makes their effort equal in our books.

DJ Jimmy Jatt – Da Yan Mo ft. Lil Kesh, Olamide, Viktoh

Legendary DJ, DJ Jimmy Jatt featured YBNL frontmen, Olamide, Lil Kesh and Viktoh on the stand out track off his album The Industry. The team came through and we are still surprised this song is yet to get a video. Lil Kesh over Olamide on Da Yan Mo for us.

His verse was dope, his hook is is probably the reason the song is well accepted.
