Manchester United Signings: Risky or Not?

new

Manchester united arguably have had the best summer in terms of signings so far : with De Gea staying, Matteo Darmian, Morgan Shneiderlin, Memphis Depay and Bastian Schweinsteiger all coming in, this all shows LVG’s intent for the season, looking at what they accomplished last season, but it only makes me wonder if we are still going to have the same formation/tactics merry go round like we did last season, from switching 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 to 3-5-2 then 4-2-3-1, we saw it all, he also gave us the long ball tactic with Fellaini playing a huge role, something never associated with United.

Let’s look at their midfield for example, Carrick- Fellaini- Schneiderlin- Schweinsteiger- Mata- Herrera- Depay- Young- Januzaj- Valencia, so many options, depth and selection headaches for the coach are always good for any side but how to accommodate all of them is what I’m trying to figure out. which might mean playing a 3-5-2 in my honest opinion, that’s why I’m not a coach but I know with the quality in the side now, it’s sure they will have a better season but going as far as title contention is what we must wait to see.

My point exactly is this, we all saw how they struggled last season with that 3-5-2, not necessarily for goals( Rooney is capable of delivering, including Chicharito)  but the way they played, the 3 man defence and stability, so many times last season you must have dozed off watching United play which is alarming. The 3-5-2 is not the formation you would want to take into this new EPL season not to talk about the Champions League, but it seems the only formation to accommodate most of the signings. what way/formation do you think is best for United??
