Since his exit from Kennis Music in 2013, Next World Music CEO and performing artiste, Iledare Oluwajuwonlo fondly known as Jaywon, has been about taking his music to the next level and making a positive impact on his immediate society, a reason he decided to celebrate his last birthday with orphans and less privileged children in Lokoja, Kogi State.
In a one-on-one with Showtime, Jaywon corrected the impression that his decision to donate food items and other materials to the orphanage on his birthday was borne out of the need to show off his kind deeds.
“It’s not a show off; it wasn’t even a premeditated thing. I was in Kogi State on my birthday; my instincts just told me that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to celebrate my birthday with orphaned children at the orphanage.
So I decided to buy a few food stuff and other provisions to donate to them. It was just my own way of helping helpless children and also a way to celebrate my birthday, it wasn’t about showing off”, he said.
