IGP removes Kogi Police Commissioner over escape of Suspects

The Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idrishas removed the Kogi State Commissioner of Police Ali Janga, Punch reports.

Janga’s sack is allegedly over the escape of 6 suspects from police custody, 2 among which had named Dino Melaye and Mohammed Audu as their gun supplier.

The removal of Janga was announced in a statement released by police PRO Jimoh Moshood.

Idris also ordered the redeployment of the commander of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) in the state, along with other officers implicated in the escape.
