What Hope Is Left For Sauce Kid In The Nigerian Music Industry?

While we find it difficult to comprehend the reason Davido, Dammy Krane and a few others celebrated the return of Babalola Felami, aka, Sauce Kid, after spending two years in an American prison, one can pardon them.

Also known as Sinzu, Sauce Kid was found guilty of grand theft and the stealing of $15,388 from unsuspecting victims.

Though Sinzu is highly rated as a rapper in his days, the industry is not where he left it a few years ago. It has been 11 years since he gave up Yebariba, the song that announced his presence in the Nigerian music industry.

While some people have left, new faces have emerged. The sound has changed in a way too. Artistes like Wizkid, Davido, Skales, D’banj, Tiwa Savage and a host of others have embraced street music than never before.

Sinzu is known for his American style of rapping. Is there still room for the ‘swagger rapper’ in Nigeria? Or will he adapt to the in-thing? It will be interesting to see how he makes a comeback. Everyone is watching!
