Meet Rwanda’s First Female Pilot – Esther Mbabazi

CNN African voices profiled Rwanda’s first female pilot, Esther Mbabazi.

Her family fled Rwanda before the 1994 genocide. She was born in Burundi, but moved back to Rwanda with her family in 1996. Her father died in a plane crash when she was eight.

But here she is, she is now a pilot at 24. Watch CNN African voices below
