Telecommunications giant, MTN has been told by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) that they have to pay a fine of $3.9 billion for not disconnecting users with unregistered SIM cards by 31st December. An anonymous source at NCC told Reuter that, . ‘Appropiate action will be taken’ if MTN is unable to meet the deadline.
However, the embattled telecoms firm has sued the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) over the fine imposed on the company.
