Reports surfaced today that the kidnapped school girls have been released. A statement was issued by the Nigerian military that the students were released but they have since withdrawn the statement.
The defence headquater finally responded to the story on Twitter. It tweeted ‘The Story circulating in respect of release of the #Chibok girls is untrue. Buses drove into the barracks but conveyed other individuals. RT’
