Kanye West has announced his 2020 election bid. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump might have to watch their back as Yeezy looks to become only the second black man to be the President of the United States.
While accepting the Video Vanguard Award at the just concluded MTV Video Music Awards 2015 from Taylor Swift, West reflected on snatching the mic from Swift’s hand six years ago. He also called out MTV for using him and Swift as a ploy to boost ratings.
But the biggest shocker of his nearly 13-minute speech came at the end when he announced that he’s running for president.
“And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president,” he said before dropping the mic and walking off stage to hugs from Kim Kardashian and Swift.
