First Lady Aisha Buhari under her pet project Future Assured, organised free medical outreach aimed at creating awareness for diabetes, hypertension, eye ailments and deworming of children in Kogi State.
Mrs Mairo Al-Makura, the First lady of Nassarawa State, who represented the Mrs Buhari stated that the initiative is in line with governmental efforts to provide healthcare for citizens. And believes the screening would improve residents health status and serve as a reminder on the need for medical checkup.
At the event, Future Assured gave out medication for some ailment screened, eye glasses, toothbrush, toothpaste,vitamin C and dewormed children.
Present at the event was the wife of Kogi State governor,Mrs Rashidat Bello with whom the first lady collaborated to launched the initiative. When addressing the crowd, Mrs Bello urged the residents to take full utilize the free services offered at the event and advised them to take good care of their health.
