Nigerian born boxing sensation Larry ‘The Natural’ Ekundayo is set to face Ghana’s Joseph Lamptey in a highly anticipated battle for the ABU (African Boxing Union) Welterweight Title. The bout is the main event of the evening and is due to be shown in live in the UK on London Live and back in Nigeria.
During the press conference, Ekundayo showed off his Nigerian flag and Lamptey got pissed that he didn’t have his own flag available for him to carry and ripped it from Ekundayo. The show promoters intervened before they could go any further.
Nigerians have chastised Lamptey for disrespecting the Nigerian flag in such manner.
