Incumbent president, Goodluck Jonathan of People’s Democratic Party and Muhammadu Buhari of All Progressives congress have both called for patience as the electoral body INEC collates results of the just concluded 2015 presidential election.
Buhari on his official Twitter page, tweeted “Fellow Nigerians, I urge you to exercise patience and vigilance as we wait for all results to be announced” while president Jonathan on Facebook urged Nigerians to resists violence when the results gets announced.
“We waited patiently to vote in these elections, now I want to urge all Nigerians to also wait patiently for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to collate and announce results. We must ensure that we do not get involved in acts that breach our peaceful co-existence that we patriotically demonstrated during the elections. May God bless Nigeria. GEJ.” he said on Facebook
